A WORD ABOUT US

Who We Are

Joining a church can mean many things to many people. Some seek out God and community when they feel they have lost their way, or are seeking a deeper purpose, or are looking for a way to connect to their family and cultural identity. But it is our believe that the Church, at its core, is about finding love and beauty through God and God’s work.

At North Newton Baptist Church, we inspire individuals of all ages and backgrounds to bring the Lord Almighty into their lives at every moment - moments of joy, moments of despair, and even those moments in between. We are committed to the teachings of Jesus Christ, and are here to spread His message with loving patience and kindness. Contact us today and bring the Almighty’s presence into your life.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT BIBLE STUDY

Bible Study Class.JPG

Those things, which ye have both learned and received, and heard, and seen in me, do:  and the God of peace shall be with you.  Philippians 4:9

Are you living in true peace or are there situations in your life that have left you broken?  Are there concerns that are burdening your heart?  There are so many issues that can negatively affect our lives, so much so that we are confused and perhaps look in the wrong places for answers, for help.  Have you wondered why these things happen and then question if God really loves you?  Jesus said for us to carry all our burdens to Him. “Then shall you call upon me, and you shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.  And you shall seek me, and find me, when you shall search for me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:12-13.  Life can be hard at times, but when the Lord is living in you, you are wrapped in peace, a peace that surpasses all understanding.

If you would like to learn more about this peace, more about the Bible, come and join us for Bible Study on Wednesday evenings. Perhaps you would like a deeper understanding of God’s Word.  We believe the LORD has sent us the best Bible Teacher there is today thru a video study by Les Feldick.

Come join us on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM for some wonderful cookies and coffee and light refreshments prior to the Bible Study.  Les is a gifted teacher who breaks down scripture so that even a first timer can understand and those who consider themselves to be Bible scholars, walk away enlightened.  All are welcome and if you want to learn more about the Bible or even if you think you know all there is to know, come and join us.  I assure you, Les will show you things from the scriptures you never knew. We enjoy this time of fellowship and Bible study so much, folks leave saying they can’t wait for next Wednesday to come around!  Please join us!

North Newton Baptist Church has a ministry fit for you, whatever your age and stage of life. Read on to find out more!

The Senior Adults are a vital part of ministry at North Newton. They are involved in every aspect from missions and ministry to leadership, teaching and administration. They are committed to fellowship,  encouragement and seeing the church grow. Their goal is to set the example for a future generation.

Pastor Curtis is currently leading and teaching the leaders of tomorrow.  They spend time in Bible study, mission projects and times of fun and fellowship.  This is a great time to join this group as they grow in their faith.

Carol Conley leads the choir into many musical areas from a mixture of hymns to the more contemporary praise and worship. On special occasions they plan programs through cantadas and scripture readings for the church family and the community.
